TC-joint full-scale test successfully executed at OCAS NV

Tree Composites is proud to announce that our full-scale test program for wrapped composite joints has been successfully executed at OCAS NV.

In front of a large international audience of interested parties from the Offshore Wind sector, we demonstrated that full-scale wrapped composite joints outperform the static and fatigue resistance of welded joints. This is an important milestone for Tree Composites and TU Delft that have developed this joint as a high-performance alternative to complex welding in the foundations for offshore wind turbines. This technology reduces the steel consumption for jacket foundations with over 40% and leads to a superior lifespan.

We would like to thank all attendees and partners for their support. The performed tests are part of the WrapNode-I project and is supported by Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO).
