PROJECT MANAGER

Tree Composites is looking for a Project Manager for our biggest R&D project yet. Do you want to join a green cause? Can you help us bring structure to a challenging project blending European funding, manufacturing, academic research and start-up dynamics?

We are kicking off a grant project on the automating of our production. With multiple corporate and academic stakeholders and a clear budget & timeline, we are looking for a Project Manager to make this project a success. The project will start in May, we have a preference for a PM who can join us around or before that time.

Tree Composites aims to accelerate offshore wind deployment. We are designing and manufacturing composite joints for offshore wind foundations that enable faster manufacturing and lower steel use. We are a start-up, founded in 2020 to bring our disruptive technology from TU Delft research to the market.

Your responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the industrialization project, ensuring milestones, deliverables, budget and timelines are met in line with grant conditions.
  • Set up and maintain a clear project structure, including planning, risk management, progress tracking and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead reporting and communication towards the funding body, consortium partners and the public.
  • And: to work together with a great internal team of technical experts and enthusiastic external stakeholders to ensure that the project results meet the project plan and company outcomes.

 

Your background

  • You have at least 8 years of working experience as a (project) manager, preferably in manufacturing, R&D or offshore (wind) projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is strongly preferred. Candidates with a non-engineering education are welcome to apply, provided they demonstrate a technical and/or engineering affinity or background in a cover letter.
  • ­Experience with executing European grant projects (or similar multi-stakeholder public-funded) is strongly preferred.
  • A background in manufacturing, industrialization, automation and/or composites is preferred.
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to lead and motivate the project team as well as ensure good cooperation with external stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in English. Fluency in Dutch is not required.
  • A valid European Union work permit is required for this position.
