Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Tree Composites is looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer who will lead our current manufacturing team and prepare the organization for future scale-up. We are entering a critical phase in which we are finalizing the development to enable industrialization of the production of our composite joints. As Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be technically responsible for projects in this sphere and lead a team of 8 FTE (and growing) across production and R&D activities. You will work closely with the CTO and leadership team to strengthen processes, improve performance, and build the foundation for scaling manufacturing capacity in the coming years.
Tree Composites aims to accelerate offshore wind deployment. We are designing and manufacturing composite joints for offshore wind foundations that enable faster manufacturing and lower steel use. We are a start-up, founded in 2020 to bring our disruptive technology from TU Delft research to the market.
Your responsibilities:
- Drive R&D-driven of our production towards scalable, repeatable and quality-controlled production processes.
- Contribute to establishing & maintaining the necessary organizational structures and support processes for efficient manufacturing.
- Lead, structure and develop the manufacturing team (currently 8 FTE), focusing on clear ownership & performance.
Your background;
- You have 5-12 years of working experience.
- Experience in composites, manufacturing and proven leadership capabilities are must-haves for this position;
- Experience in scaling up manufacturing operations or bringing new production lines into operation is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD and reviewing technical designs is a nice to have.
- You are proactive, creative and are comfortable taking ownership in a start-up environment.
- A valid European Union work permit is required for this position.
